Even though I play Blizzard's MMORPG: World of Warcraft (WoW), and the expansion, The Burning Crusade, the game is still disappointing to me for a number of reasons. I won't get into those right now because it's off topic. That's not the only thing they've dropped the ball on. They were also supposed to release a console game (on PS2, XBOX), based in the StarCraft universe called StarCraft: Ghost. After hiring an external company to develop this title, Nihilistic Software, they decided the company wasn't right for the project and "concluded their collaboration with Blizzard".

With the cancellation of ghost, and with many of the original StarCraft and Diablo (another Blizzard title) staff leaving the company to do other things, I remain apprehensive. Can Blizzard pull this off? I don't know, put I hope for the best. If you would like to see more of the game go to Blizzard's StarCraft II site, it has more details, flashy videos, and more artwork.
